What is CAL?
Communication is the exchange and flow of information and ideas from one person to another; it is one person giving an idea, information, or feeling to another person.
Arts means meeting your artistic needs through the visual and performing arts.
Leadership means empowering you to take an active role in your future, your school, and your community.

CAL is an A though G academy with an emphasis on the individual and their personal creativity.
CAL provides a close-knit community where you can recognize your role as an individual in the greater community, with a focus on your creative abilities. With creativity as your vehicle you will build your voice, to communicate your passions and cultural influences to the community and the larger world. With that creative voice you can display your opinions in several show venue opportunities with Banning High School and beyond.
CAL cultivates your leadership and artistic skills. The teachers and counselors will also assist you in making informed choices about your college and/or career goals after high school. There are opportunities for scholarships and internships in the creative arts and we will help you find them.
