School Parent and Family Engagement

Banning High School has developed a written Title I parent and family engagement policy with input and agreement from Title I parents. Title I parents from various groups such as School Site Council, Expanded School Management Model council, English Learner Advisory Committee members, and Coffee with the Principal attendees gave input. The input from each group was reviewed and agreed upon during two meetings of Coffee with the Principal in which representatives from each group were present. The policy was submitted to the School Site Council for review and final approval. Parents received notification by school website posting, phone call, email and text. The policy is posted on the school website and available at the school’s Main office, and Parent Center. The parents received this information in their home language.
